Reiling Family Update

I met the Reiling family in early 2015 when Hannah was a newborn and we did a beautiful shoot in their home, it was so great to see them all again to update their family portraits. Sisters Lilia & Hannah are just so gorgeous together, and on this day they were so full of smiles and giggles they made it so easy!  Cant wait to photograph them again when Hannah is walking & talking!

A Happy Anniversary

Gauri & Danesh wanted an inner-city photo shoot to celebrate their 1-year wedding anniversary as they both work in the city and I was more than happy to explore the streets of Melbourne with them!

We wandered from Flinders Street Station, to the famous Hosier Lane then up to the gardens and registry office at the top of Collins Street. I hadn't shot portraits in the city before so it was a bit of a challenge dealing with all the people and traffic, but we had a great time and I'm pretty stoked with the results!

"Our 5th wedding anniversary was made so special with the precious moments Emily was able to capture at our city shoot. We absolutely loved her composed nature, even though the shoot was for 1 hour she did not try to rush us and even made my husband smile for most of the pictures. The variations of the pictures in colour, black & white and vintage gave us abundance of choice to select from. The finished photos were absolutely well edited and of high-resolution quality. We highly recommend her to capture important milestones of life as these photographs are memories we will have forever, thank-you Emily!”

For anyone out there reading this, I would LOVE to do many more city shoots- whether for an engagement, anniversary, family portraits, or just for fun- please contact me!

Travel: Bali, Indonesia

After 3 weeks trekking through China, I had 10 days booked to recover and relax in Bali. Being so close to Australia, Bali is a really popular destination, but this was my first time, but definatley wont be the last.  I arived in Bali after 9pm and it was still 35degrees with crazy humidity, which for some reason I wasnt expecting. Im a pretty organised person so had my whole trip planned out so that I could maximise my 10 days and see as much of the "must-see" as possible.

I visited temples, huge markets and drove to the a viewpoint overlooking Kintamani Volcano. Took in a traditional performance and had monkeys jumping on my head as I walked through a forest. I hiked to Tegenungan waterfall and marveled at the huge terraced rice fields. I sailed to Nusa Penida on a huge catamaran and snorkelled over a breathtaking tropical reef surrounded by thousands of fish. And sometimes I just sat and watched the villagers, people going about their everyday lives, the hoards of scooters and trucks laden with produce and workers hitching a ride. The detail everywhere in Bali was so beautiful; stunning engravings on every surface, colourful shrines every few meters dedicated to their deity's and gorgeous children laughing in the streets.

These are only a small selection from my camera, click HERE to see a full gallery, I cant wait to go back!
