Beautiful Bump, Katya & Craig

I felt really welcomed when I met Katya & Craig at their amazing inner-city home in Melbourne earlier this month to create some maternity portraits for them. Their home is in a huge converted warehouse and had this fantastic wooden wall with one enormous window which lights their whole home, I really enjoyed shooting a more urban and modern style that suited their personal look. They also live really close to Royal Park so we went for a wander in the evening light too... 

Cant wait to meet your little one in a few months, thanks for having me Katya & Craig, congratulations!

Trentham Falls- Victoria

A few shots from a solo adventure to Trentham Falls, north of Melbourne. We had been having torrential rainfall so it was a pretty epic display, especially once I climbed down a very muddy and steep cliff to get the bottom angles... amazing!

People With Cameras

Fuji Australia held an awesome event in Melbourne called 'People with Cameras' "designed for you to meet like-minded people in your city and community". Around 200 strangers met in the Fitzroy Gardens, we were divided into small groups and given the theme 'Shadow & Light' and an hour to head off and create something that we felt represented that. I ended up with a great group of people and we wandered around together in the fading evening light with our variety of cameras. I had a new 85mm f2. lens to play with on my Nikon D7200 and was mostly drawn to the abstract shapes in the foliage.

We met back with the whole group and through a series of group eliminations worked out the best images, of which one of mine made the cut and went to the final judging. I was stoked to be awarded the runner-up prize for the image below:

Thanks so much to Fuji, Thinktank, Lucky Camera Straps and all the other organisers and sponsors of the event, it was an awesome night and super fun to hang out with other photographers and people in the industry.
